What makes street lights orange

The history of electric street lighting first used incandescent lamps, then mercury-vapor lamps white color , then sodium-vapor lamps yellow color and recently LED lamps white color. Today, street lighting commonly uses high-intensity discharge lamps. Late in the 20th century high-pressure sodium HPS lamps were preferred, taking further the same virtues. To create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, orange makes a great lighting choice for the porch.

This color means endurance, creativity and friendship with some shades of orange being associated with the earth and changing seasons.
